Founded in 2003, Talent Youth Association (TaYA) is an indigenous, non-governmental organization that is built upon the premise that youth are the promise of the successful development of Ethiopia. In order to be productive and influential leaders of the future young Ethiopian women and men need the knowledge and opportunities to be healthy and self-reliant. TaYA provides youth these knowledge and opportunities to enable themselves and work towards, gender equality, economic and environmental strength of Ethiopia.

Since TaYA was established, there have been changes in the national HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Secretariat’s strategy to focus more on young people in program implementation and funding. TaYA is proud to have contributed to the body of knowledge on youth reproductive health issues that enabled this change in national direction.
